This sport is played in both spring and fall. In the spring, those entering grades K-9 in September are eligible to play. In the fall, those in grades K-9 are eligible to play, but if on the school team they can not play BARC. Practices/games are played on the Eastern Ave Recreation field. Teams play one weeknight at 6p (either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday), and they play for an hour on Saturday, sometime between 10am and 3:30pm. Weekdays and the times on Saturday rotate each week. Players learn organized soccer. The fee for this program is $38 per player with a discount for families registering 3 or more players.
Spring Soccer registration starts at the end of February. Fall Soccer registration starts in July. (For 2020 this registration has been put on hold) We will also be holding a Soccer Skills Development Training the week of August 3rd.
Summer Soccer Skills Development Training 2020
WHO: Boys and girls who will be entering Grades K-6 in the fall.
- New, beginning and intermediate players who want to have fun and learn the fundamentals of soccer through drills and games.
WHEN: 1 hour sessions on Monday, 8/3/20 & Friday, 8/7/20 between 4:30p-7:30p and Saturday, 8/8/20 between 1p-4p. *Rain date 8/10/20
*Time slots for each day will be assigned based on grade & experience level once registration is complete.
WHERE: Eastern Ave fields.
COST: $25.00 per child – Space is limited so early registration is encouraged.
HOW TO REGISTER: Log onto www.ballstonarearec.org and click on “Register/Log in”. If you have already created an online account, you will be able to access the information used from your last registration. If any of your personal information has changed, please update it. If prior to this, you have not registered online for a BARC program, you will need to create an account and register. Registration will be from 7/14/20- 7/17/20. Commissioner Glastetter will contact you via email by 7/31/20 with your assigned time slot.

Each child should wear shin guards, athletic shoes and clothing, bring a ball, and water. It is advised to use bug spray & sunscreen since athletes will be outdoors. * We will be following all state COVID 19 guidelines for recreation programs, which may include restrictions on groups size, equipment usage & spacing. These guidelines will be provided prior to the start of the program.
